This is a taste of luxury in the wilderness of Africa, so it is a safari to see Uganda’s prestigious Mountain Gorillas in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi and the Chimpanzees in Kibale forest, both of which are members of the world’s Great Apes.
So on the safari, you will immerse in the luxury of your safari lodge with a treat of majesty from the staff. You will trail through the dense forest to trek the prestigious Mountain Gorillas. In the tropical forest of Kibale national park, you track the Chimpanzees and the forest is known for its concentration of Primates (over 13 species) and density of the Chimps.
Of the 4 world’s Great Apes, the Gorillas, Bonobos, Chimpanzees all found in Africa and the Orangutans in Borneo – Asia, Uganda has two of them; the Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees. Meeting them is one of the most celebrated African wildlife encounters, and on this Uganda luxury safari, you will definitely experience and witness it.

Note: Welcome to the Land of Great Apes! Meet and Greet by our guide at Entebbe International Airport on the day you arrive, then transfer to the booked hotel in Entebbe for your stay.

Package Itinerary
Leave the hotel to the Airport for your domestic flight southwest of the country to Kihihi airstrip near Bwindi, here you will meet your guide who will transfer you to the booked accommodation in the vicinity of Bwindi Impenetrable forest. You will relax for the rest of the day at the lodge taking in the pleasant views of the rain forest and surrounding.
Overnight [O/n]: Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp (Superior).
Meal Plan: Half Board [HB].
Today requires an early start; after breakfast, you will be transferred to the park reception area, well dressed in your tracking attire and with packed lunch boxes. At the reception, you will be assigned a guide who will take you through briefing. After registration, you will at 8:30Am enter this amazing rainforest which only takes the brave to penetrate, and track the Gorillas. The terrain is characterized by slippery ascents and descents, and trekking can last a few hours up to 6 hours depending on many factors like pace of trekkers, the movements of the Gorilla group and how far the family you are tracking is; from the start point.
Once you come across the gorillas, you are allowed an hour to watch them, then transfer back to the reception area, where you meet with your safari guide who then transfers you back to the lodge. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery in the backdrop of your lodge.

Today after breakfast, you start-off early morning with a scenic journey northwestward of Bwindi advancing to Kibale forest national park. This journey through the remote African countryside rewards you with the best scenes of nature all the way via the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth where you will see wildlife like Waterbucks, Elephants among others.
The way to Uganda’s tourism city of Fort Portal, is known for the countless crater fields. Continue to the park area, check-in at the lodge where dinner and overnight will be.

Today after breakfast, the guide will transfer you to Kanyanchu visitor reception area, where you meet the ranger guide, who briefs you about the Chimpanzee tracking etiquette and later enter the forest to start off the Chimpanzee tracking experience, which lasts about 2-3 hours, with an hour spent in presence of these delightful apes once you come across them. Kibleforest is Africa’s premier Chimpanzee and primate tracking site hence referred to as “Primate Capital of the World”.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure at the luxury of your lodge or you can opt for a simple but scenic crater field walk on which you encounter some of the most astonishing crater lakes of East Africa.

Today after a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to Kyaninga, a luxury lodge with remarkable scenic views, the lodge is situated perfectly at the brim of a crater lake, and just from the door steps of your cottage the adventure starts. An evening guided walk around the lake and through the forest patches is one way to have a treat and feel of the serenity of nature.
The evening is all yours, available to you for leisure, the lodge offers a tennis court for you to enjoy or you may simply relax at the pool side sipping a cold drink while you take in the endless views of the plains with the great Mountains of the Moon; the “Rwenzori’s’ towering in the back ground.

Have a hearty breakfast at the lodge and this will mark the end of your Great Apes safari experience, depart western Uganda through a route with remarkable scenes of rolling tea fields, back to Kampala or Entebbe where you will be dropped off at the hotel or airport for your flight back home.
