Welcome to the land of Great Apes! Meet and Greet from the guide or company representative on the day of arrival at Kigali International airport, then you will air or road transfer from Kigali international airport to Volcanos National Park located northwest of the country. Check-in at the lodge on arrival where your stay will be.

Overnight (o/n): Singita Kwitonda lodge or One & Only Gorilla Nest (Luxury), Meal Plan: Half Board (HB)

Start-off with breakfast, transfer to the park reception area with your packed lunch boxes, here you will meet with the ranger guide who will brief you about the gorilla trekking etiquette and afterwards, you will enter the forest to start the trek. The adventure walk can last just a few to some good hours depending on the location of gorilla family from the trail head, pace of the trackers, movement of the gorillas among other factors. When you are close to meeting the Gorillas, the guide will let you know and remind you about the behaviors while in their presence, with one full hour to watch them.
Later retreat to the starting point, then off to the lodge for relaxation.

After having breakfast, you prepare for checkout from the lodge and transfer to Kigali where you will take on a city tour, you will visit the Kigali Genocide memorial, Inema arts center and/or the city market. Kigali is one of the cleanest city in Africa. You will enjoy the splendor of this beautiful city, have a lunch break then retire for the night at the hotel.

Leave Kigali after breakfast at the hotel, embark on a journey southwest of the country to Nyungwe forest national park located just near Cyangugu town. The journey through this part of the country is profoundly beautiful and scenic. You will have some stops en-route for a taste of cultural and/or dark tourism; to the Genocide Memorial of Gikorongo or to Nyanza King’s Palace at Nyabisindi. Continue to the park onward to the booked accommodation where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

O/night: One & Only Nyungwe Forest (Luxury). Meal Plan: Full Board (FB)

Strat with an early breakfast, and transfer to the park’s reception area either at; Uwinka, Kitabi or Gisakura, where you will receive briefing from the ranger guide about the Chimpanzee tracking etiquette and afterwards, you enter the forest for the ultimate experience in this block of a mountain forest. With its immense primate diversity, you may come across various other primates like the; Blue Monkeys, Owl-faced Monkeys, Silver Monkeys, Red-tailed and Mona Monkeys.
After a lunch break, you will go for an afternoon to evening forest experience on a nature walk to discover the diversity in the forest. Expect to see lots of bird species and other mammals on this 2-hour walk, later return to the lodge for your stay.

O/night: One & Only Nyungwe Forest (Luxury). Meal Plan: Full Board (FB)

Have an early breakfast at the lodge, then proceed to the Uwinka reception area where you will start off one of Africa’s remarkable adventures on a 2 hour Canopy walk. Views of the evergreen towering canopy while standing 60 meters above the ground offer some of the most memorable moments in Africa. Your knees will shake high above a dense jungle canopy, while you have un-ending view of this block of a mountain forest. Later head back to the lodge, checkout and embark on the journey back to Kigali, drop-off at the hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
