3 Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking From Kigali
Print This PostPackage Overview
The safari starts from Kigali- Rwanda with an overnight on the day you arrive. You are to track gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. The trekking adventure ranks as one of the best safaris in Uganda.
There is a global count of nearly 1’063 Mountain Gorillas, but the misty shrouded mountain forest of Bwindi Impenetrable shelters more than 460 gorillas, both wild and habituated so the park is a perfect spot to be. They are therefore some of the most imperiled wildlife species and can only be seen in Bwindi and the Virunga volcanoes.
Because of their low population, most of the proceedings from tracking go to Gorilla conservation efforts including protection of their habitat.
At a size of 321 sq.km, Bwindi forest Gorilla trekking park is a recognized UNESCO world heritage site. It’s an immense draughty tropical forest with varied tree species, snarled vegetation, and towering canopy. So it’s not just seeing the gorillas, but the chilly weather and nature of the forest makes gorilla trekking some of Uganda’s best safari experience. Bwindi is characterized by steep and slippery terrain offering otherworldly adventures.
