Combining a Gorilla trekking safari in Uganda with a game viewing is one of the greatest safari experiences you can ever have in this country proclaimed the “Pearl of Africa”. On this safari in Uganda, you will participate in a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi and as well navigate the savannas of Queen Elizabeth national park on a game viewing wildlife encounter. You will trail through Bwindi Impenetrable forest a UNESCO heritage park known for sheltering the prestigious Great Apes.
Bwindi is located in the southwestern part of Uganda and shelters nearly half of the world’s Mountain Gorilla- Great Apes. Trekking the Gorillas in Bwindi is a among the premier African safari experiences and moving through this misty cloaked mountain forest is absolutely fascinating.
In Queen Elizabeth, you will go on a game drive and a launch trip to see a variety of wildlife. The savanna park is a classic wildlife destination in Uganda and its known for game safaris. Trails around Mweya and Katwe plains host a variety of wildlife and are great spots for game drives. But more to the park’s beauty is the assortment of habitats which takes in endless craters. South of the park is the Ishasha sector which offers a great scenery for photography safaris in Africa.

Note: Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! Meet and Greet from the guide on the day you arrive at the airport for this safari in Uganda. He will then transfer you to your overnight accommodation in Kampala.

Package Itinerary
Leave Kampala early after breakfast and travel southwest of the country in the direction of Bwindi Impenetrable forest where you will be for Gorilla trekking .On the journey, you will break off at the Equator for a simple introductory safari experience in Uganda including snapshots and souvenir shopping. You will also stop for lunch and later continue with the journey all the way to the park area, at the lodge in the purlieu of the rolling beautiful landscape.
Meal Plan: Half Board [HB]. Overnight: Buhoma lodge (Luxury) /Silverback lodge (Midrange) /Buhoma Haven lodge (Standard).

Transfer to the park with your lunch boxes after breakfast. You meet with the ranger guide at the reception area who will brief you about the Gorilla trekking etiquette and later enter the forest to start the tracking adventure. The rising and falling misty mountain forest of Bwindi is absolutely amazing.
Gorilla trekking takes a few hours to over 6 hours of the day depending on the location and movement of the gorilla family you are tracking; once you find them, you spend an hour with them and later you leave back to the starting point where you receive your gorilla trekking certificate, then back to the lodge for relaxation.

After breakfast, leave southwestern Uganda very early, transfer to the western part in the direction of Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the evening, you enjoy a game drive in the Ishasha, the southern sector of the park, which hosts the tree climbing Lions. Will this be an opportune moment to see the Kings of the savanna plains lying in tree branches stalking their prey or as they plan their hunt on the ground?

O/night: Ishasha Wilderness Camp (Luxury) /Ishasha Jungle lodge (Midrange) /Ishasha Ntungwe Safari Camp (Basic).
Have an early breakfast, and explore the teeming savanna plains of Queen on a game drive, expect to see mammals and other species that the park shelters. On the drive around Kasenyi or Mweya peninsular, hope to see Buffalo herds, Warthogs, African Elephants, and Antelopes among others. These may be opportune moments to spot Lions plan their morning hunt, or as early grazers nourish on moist grass.
In the afternoon after a lunch break, you enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel heaving with wildlife especially Hippopotamuses, you also see other game along the shores.

Overnight: Elephant Plains lodge (Luxury) /Buffalo lodge (Midrange) /Twin Lakes lodge (Standard).
Start with an early breakfast at the lodge which marks the end of this Bwindi gorilla trekking and Queen Elizabeth game viewing Uganda safari. Start the journey back to Kampala. Drop off is either at the airport for your flight or at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe [Optional: Cultural tour at Igongo Museum].
